New Delhi : Whole world is waiting for the Coronavirus vaccine. Before that, many methods are being used to treat this deadly virus. After treatment of corona with plasma therapy, ICMR has teamed up with a Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical company to find a new prescription for the treatment of fatal virus infections.
ICMR has claimed to have developed a highly purified ‘antisera’ using animal blood serum to treat corona, which is very effective in reducing corona malignancy. This is a new therapy for the treatment of corona after plasma therapy in India. It is being claimed that it is not only effective in preventing the horrors of the disease in corona patients, but it is also able to treat it. ICMR reported that such measures have been used to control many viral bacterial infections even before.
Antisera are blood serum derived from animals, which contain antibodies against specific antigens. They are used in the treatment of certain diseases. It is the latest therapy in India for the treatment of corona after plasma therapy.
This particular therapy has been prepared by Hyderabad-based E-Limited and ICMR. Biological E-Limited is one of the listed entities in India, which has been permitted by the Central Drug Control Organization (CDSCO) to manufacture vaccines for limited use. Apart from this, Serum Institute of India, Cadila Healthcare, Bharat Biotech International Limited Biological E Limited, Reliance Life Sciences Pvt Ltd, Aurobindo Pharma Limited and Gennova Biopharmaceuticals are allowed to make vaccines in India.
ICMR reported that such measures have been used to control many viral bacterial infections even before. This includes rabies, hepatitis B, tetanus, and diphtheria.
