New Delhi : Anger is raging all over the country after the Hathras gang rape victim passed away. In this case, first, negligence was done by the police, then when the victim died, the police forcefully completed her funeral without the consent of family. Now the opposition is furious over this attitude of UP police. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has sought the resignation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

On behalf of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, it was tweeted that at 2.30 in the night, the family kept pleading but the Hathras victim was forcibly cremated by the UP administration. The government did not give protection to her while she was alive, when she was attacked, the government did not provide timely treatment.

On behalf of Priyanka, it was said that ‘After the death of the victim, the government took away the right of her funeral from family members and did not even give respect to the deceased. Gross inhumanity. You did not stop crime, rather you behaved like criminals. The torture did not stop.’ Priyanka demanded that Yogi Adityanath must resign. There is no justice in his rule, only injustice is dominated.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also tweeted about this incident. He wrote that a daughter of India is raped, facts are suppressed and in the end, the right of funeral is also taken away from her family. This is outrageous and unjust.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also questioned the government’s attitude towards the last rites. He wrote that the victim of Hathras was raped first gang raped and yesterday the whole system raped her. The whole episode is very painful.

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati wrote in a tweet that the UP police did not hand over the corpse of the gangrape Dalit victim of Hathras to her family and perform the last rites at midnight tomorrow without family’s consent. BSP strongly condemns such a wrong attitude of the police.

The BSP chief wrote that it would be better if the honorable Supreme Court takes appropriate action by taking cognizance of this serious case on its own, otherwise it doesn’t seem from the attitude of the UP government and the police in this heinous case that even after the death of the gang-rape victim, her family will be able to get justice and severe punishment for the culprits.
