New Delhi : Cricketer Yuvraj Singh has stuck in the case of a comment made against the scheduled caste. In connection with this, Hansi police station of Haryana has registered a case against Yuvraj Singh under SC-ST Act.

Dalit rights activist Rajat Kalsan had lodged a complaint against Yuvraj Singh to the Superintendent of Police of Hansi and demanded a case against him under the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Act.

Significantly, on June 1, 2020, a video of interaction between cricketers Rohit Sharma and Yuvraj Singh went viral on social media, in which Yuvraj Singh made an indecent and derogatory comment on the scheduled caste. There was a lot of ruckus on this.

Advocate Rajat Kalsan told that he had complained to the then SP Lokendra, in which he had demanded a case against Yuvraj Singh for commenting on social media against the scheduled society of the country.

He had said that this comment has been seen by the people of the scheduled society all over the country and this comment has hurt the sentiments of the Dalit community. He had also met Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij regarding this, after which he had also assured of appropriate action.
