Actress Payal Ghosh Lodged Official Complaint Against Anurag Kashyap, Charges Includes Rape

Mumbai : Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap has been accused of sexual harassment by actress Payal Ghosh. In this case Payal Ghosh has filed a written complaint with the police today. Her lawyer Nitin Satpute said that a written complaint has been filed under sections 376, 354, 341, 342 of IPC in the case of rape, wrongdoing and indecent conduct with a woman. The statement of the victim Payal Ghosh has been recorded. The police will now investigate further. Actress has also demanded arrest in the case. The police have assured Payal Ghosh that they will see and take necessary action.

Nitin Satpute, lawyer of actress Payal Ghosh said on the allegations of not remembering the date of the rape incident that the victim remembers everything and she has also given all the information related to the incident. He said that this was done under a thoughtful strategy. Because we thought the accused would try to destroy the evidence.

It is noteworthy that Payal Ghosh had tweeted on social media a few days back and accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual abuse. She said that about 6 years ago, Anurag had molested her at his house. Talking to a media channel, Payal said that Anurag Kashyap shows that he respects women but in real life he is not like that. He wears a mask.

Well-known Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap himself has come forward and defended himself on this matter. He tweeted three times in a row. He wrote in a tweet- ‘There are going to be a lot of attacks right now. This is just the beginning. I’ve got lots of phone calls advising that don’t say anything and keep quiet on this matter.’ At the same time, Anurag, while issuing the statement of his lawyer, had defended himself on the matter.
