Indian Alternative To UC Browser Launched Under Self-Reliant India Gets Record 4 Lakh Downloads

New Delhi : Chinese browser UC was very popular among Indians before it was banned by Indian Government. It was being said that this Chinese browser was stealing data of Indian users. 
Now, after the ban of UC browser, former Tata Company employee has launched India’s first homegrown browser from PM Modi’s parliamentary constituency in Banaras under Self-Reliant India Mission.
Record more than 4 lakh people have downloaded the iC Browser app within a few hours of its release. iC Browser app has emerged as a great replacement of Chinese UC Broswer among Indians.
The iC Browser app has been created by engineer Arpit Seth, who was employee of multinational company TCS for many years. Arpit says, “To prevent incidents of data theft from Chinese apps from India, the iC browser app has been created. There is no possibility of data leak due to its server being in India only. It is a matter of great pride for us that more than 4 lakh people have downloaded this app within half an hour of its launch. ”
