Clashes between Indian-Chinese troops at Naku La in Sikkim, Soldiers of both sides injured

New Delhi : There are reports of a fresh physical brawl having taken place between Indian and Chinese troops amid the ongoing deadlock between India and China over the border in East Ladakh.

According to the information, the Chinese army in Nathu La has attempted to change the status quo. Some Chinese troops were moving towards the Indian border with the intention of infiltration, during which retaliation took place. The Indian Army troops foiled the intrusion bid and physical clashes ensued.

Primary information reveals that soldiers from both sides have been injured.

The incident was reported three days ago. So far no official statement has come from both countries. However, the situation is tense right now, but stable. A senior Indian Army official said that strict vigil is being maintained at all points along the Indian territory, despite the deteriorating weather conditions.

The situation on the LAC is tense due to this move by Chinese troops trying to enter Indian territory. To ease this tension, the 9th round of talks between military officials of India and China took place in Moldo in eastern Ladakh yesterday. The conclusion of this meeting, which lasted for about 15 hours, has not been revealed yet, but India appealed to reduce the tension on LAC.

According to military sources, the meeting started at 11 am Sunday and continued till 2:30 pm. What issues were discussed in the meeting, it is not known at the moment.

According to sources, the meeting was held after a reply to a memo sent to China by India. Right now about 50 thousand soldiers are deployed on both sides of the border and it is being tried that there is no untoward.

Major General Lu Lin, commander of South Xinjiang Military Command from China was present in this meeting. An official of China’s foreign ministry was also involved in this. On the other hand, 12 members, including Lieutenant General PGK Menon and Joint Secretary Naveen Srivastava of the Ministry of External Affairs from India were present.
