Shahjahanpur : Blankets distributed with Asaram Bapu’s photos in the same city where he raped a girl

Kanpur : Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur jail administration is embroiled in controversy. Here the prisoners were given blankets with a photo of Asaram convicted of rape. Asaram is accused of raping the girl of the same city. The victim’s father has objected to the incident and demanded an investigation. The prison administration, on the other hand, is silent on the matter.

The prison administration issued a press note making it a government program. It said blankets had been sent from the Asaram Bapu Ashram in Lucknow. Blankets were distributed from Arjun and Narayan Pandey. Arjun and Pushpendra Asaram are accused of killing witnesses in the case. They are in jail and are currently out on bail. The photo was deleted from social media after the matter came to light after a press note and photo went viral late Monday night.

Asaram is serving a life sentence
Asaram raped a student in Shahjahanpur in 2013. In 2018, a Jodhpur court in Rajasthan sentenced him to life imprisonment in the case.
