Shweta Menon is one such actress. Shweta had shot her real delivery for the film Kalimannu. Actually, director Blessy decided to shoot a live delivery for a scene in the film ‘Kalimannu’. The film was made on the challenges faced by women.

However, this shooting was not done for money. The recording of the delivery started from the time when Shweta was five months pregnant. The live delivery scene in the 3-hour film was 45 minutes. Shweta gave birth to a daughter. Three cameras were placed in the delivery room. The film’s production team had three members apart from the hospital’s doctors and nurses during the shoot.

Her husband also supported her in this decision of Shweta. The film’s release was stalled for six months so that the real delivery scene could be shot. The film received mixed response from the audience. Everyone was surprised to see this scene.
