New Delhi : Pakistan being insulted whenever it goes on international forums is now common. Earlier, the leaders of Pakistan used to have this dishonor, this time the Pakistani cricket team has faced it. Pakistan’s team reached New Zealand to play the series after which they were kept in isolation for 14 days. But Pakistani players are constantly breaking New Zealand’s Corona rules after which the New Zealand Health Ministry has given a final warning to the Pakistan Board that the entire team will be sent back to Pakistan if the rules are not followed.

In fact, Pakistan’s team had undergone the Corona Test four times but when all 53 members tested in New Zealand, then the test of 7 players came positive. After this the New Zealand administration became cautious. However, the players were subsequently placed in Isolation but many players were seen breaking the protocol. That is why the New Zealand government warned the Pakistan Cricket Board.

As soon as such a warning came, the Chief Executive of Pakistan Cricket Board reprimanded the players on the tour of New Zealand and informed the entire team about the warning that they will be sent back home.

In a WhatsApp voice note sent to Pakistan’s players on Thursday, Wasim Khan said he was given a “final warning” by both New Zealand cricket and his government as six Pakistan players were found to be coronavirus positive.

In a two-minute Urdu-language message, Khan said, “The New Zealand government has told me directly that they will send the entire team back if the Corona Protocol of New Zealand is violated even once. If that happens, it would be extremely embarrassing for Pakistan.”

CCTV footage revealed that some Pakistani players violated the protocol on the first day of Managed Isolation.

Khan warned that “New Zealand is following the Zero Tolerance Policy regarding Corona and they have given us the final warning. I know this is a difficult time for you. You have faced similar situations in England… It is a matter of respect and credibility of the country. Please follow the protocol for 14 days, then you will get freedom to roam outside in the restaurant in New Zealand.”

After the seven players were found to be corona positive, the players of Pakistan team were prevented from practice till the completion of the investigation. According to reports, all the players were tested four times before going from Lahore to New Zealand and came negative in every test.

Wasim Khan told his players, “I know it is tough, it is very difficult, but be disciplined and follow protocol… They will not compromise on health and safety in New Zealand.”

Pakistan has to play three T20 Internationals against New Zealand, which will start on December 18, followed by two Test matches.

Of the seven cases which came up positive, two were described as “Historical” and four were new cases. The entire group of Pakistan, including 53 players and officials, were tested after arriving on Tuesday.

The New Zealand Ministry of Health stated that “despite clear and detailed instructions” the isolation rules were violated. Director General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield said, “It is a privilege to play the game in New Zealand, but in return, teams have to follow those rules Which is designed to keep COVID19 out of New Zealand and keep our employees safe.”

Pakistan has once again faced international insult. It is shameful that the citizens of their own country portray a shameful picture of Pakistan at the international level in such a way.
