Srinagar : Security agencies have been alert after the theft of the Swift Dzire car from Kotla Mubarakpur police station area before Republic Day. The car belonged to the Jammu and Kashmir House and had a government vehicle written on it.

The car theft incident has been captured in CCTV cameras. The thieves came IN Brezza car to steal. Kotla Mubarakpur police station has registered a case and started searching for the car.

South District DCP Atul Kumar Thakur said that the incident of car theft took place at 4.22 am on January 12. Hamza, a driver, was a resident of Jammu and Kashmir and was appointed as a driver of Jammu Kashmir House.

He rented a room in Pilanji, Kotla Mubarakpur and lived there. He brought the car to his room at night. He used to park the car towards the Tyagraj Stadium near the Prem Nagar market near the drain. The government vehicle was written on the car.

The car theft incident has been captured in CCTV footage. They came in Breeza car and as soon as they got out of the car, they did something with the laptop and then stole the Swift Dzire. Security agencies have come on alert mode due to the theft of a government vehicle on Republic Day. On the complaint of Hamza, Kotla Mubarakpur police station has registered a case of vehicle theft.
