Jammu and Kashmir : Encounter In Shopian, 2 Terrorists Killed By Security Forces

Srinagar : Operation of security forces is going on against militants in Jammu and Kashmir. In the Chakura area of Shopian district, security forces have killed two terrorists today. However, the body has not been recovered yet. At present, the search operation is going on. With this, the entire area has been cordoned off.

Security forces received input about terrorists hiding in the Chakura area. After this, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel started the search operation. During this search operation, the terrorists started firing on the security forces. Two terrorists have been killed in retaliation.

Earlier on Monday, there was an encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Rambagh area of Srinagar. Two terrorists were killed in this encounter. One of the two terrorists killed in this encounter was identified as Irshad Ahmed Dar, who was active for the last three years. The identity of the other terrorist is not done yet.

A police officer had said, “A joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF had received specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area. After this the search operation was started. As soon as the teams reached the area, terrorists started firing on them.”
