Bengaluru : A Bengaluru woman was left bleeding from her nose after she was attacked by a Zomato delivery man. The name of the woman is Hitesha Chandranee, who is a professional make-up artist. On Tuesday, Hitesha alleged that the zomato delivery boy hit her so hard that she sustained a nose injury.

The video shared by Hitesha went viral on different social media platforms. In this viral video, Hitesha is seen having a breakdown while narrating her story. The incident occurred in Bengaluru on March 9 afternoon and a police complaint has been filed as well.

In the video shared by Hitesha, she is saying, “I ordered food from Zomato as I was working since morning. I ordered food around 3:30 pm. My order was supposed to get delivered by 4:30 pm but I did not get it on time. So I was constantly following up with the Zomato customer care. I asked Zomato to either give me the free delivery for the same or just cancel the order…”

Hitesha added in another video, “And then the Zomato delivery guy reached. He was so rude… I didn’t open the full door, I spoke to him from a gap in the door and told him I was talking to the customer care… I told him I don’t want the order since it was very late. But he refused to take the order and started screaming, ‘bloody I am your slave or what’… It felt so threatening, I got scared and I tried to push the door. But he was so huge, he pushed back the door, snatched the order back from me and punched me. Then he ran away…”

Hitesha’s video in which she is clearly seen bleeding from nose soon went viral leaving netizens infuriated. Social media users took to the post and slammed Zomato and raised questions regarding the safety of customers, especially if it’s a woman.

The official handle of Zomato was seen replying to almost every individual reiterating,”Hey there, we can assure you this is not the experience our delivery universe upholds. Our local team is in touch with Hitesha to help her with the police investigation along with assistance on the medical care required.”
