Mumbai : The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) filed a lengthy chargesheet in the death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput on Friday. The charge sheet was filed in front of a special NDPS court. NCB has been probing a drug-related angle in the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The chargesheet names 33 accused, including Rhea Chakraborty, and contains the statement of 200 witnesses. The hard copy contains over 12,000 pages and the digital format is around 52,000 pages.

The chargesheet has gone beyond Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and traced the trail of narcotics, its sourcing and then distribution in Mumbai.

NCB had six months’ time to file the chargesheet going by the first arrest the agency made in September. After the Enforcement Directorate shared private WhatsApp chats allegedly on sourcing drugs between actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty and some of Sushant Singh Rajput’s staff, the case was registered in August. The agency accused all of them of procuring and supplying drugs for the late actor.

While Rhea, Showik and Sushant Singh Rajput’s staff mainly Samuel Miranda, Deepesh Sawant all are all out on bail, the agency arrested over 30 people in connection with this and several are in custody at present.
