Gujarat Result Live: BJP towards big lead, AAP wins 46 seats so far

Ahmedabad : The results of elections for the municipalities, zilla panchayats and taluka panchayats in Gujarat have started coming up. In the elections held for 81 municipalities, 31 district panchayats and 231 taluka panchayats of Gujarat, more than 60 percent polling was recorded on Sunday. Elections were held on a total of 8,235 seats. BJP has fielded 8161 candidates, Congress 7778, while Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has fielded 2,090 candidates.

The BJP is moving towards a big lead in the results till 1 pm. The performance of the Congress is very poor.
