ISRO successfully launches 18 satellites including Amazonia-1
Bengaluru: ISRO has launched the first space mission of this year from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. The PSLV-C51 was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh this morning. PSLV-C51 has left for space with Amazonia-1 and other 18 satellites.
ISRO said in a statement that PSLV-C51 is the 53rd mission of PSLV. Along with Brazil’s Amazonia-1 satellite, 18 other satellites have also been sent through this rocket.

According to ISRO, this rocket has been launched from Sriharikota, about 100 km from Chennai. This rocket was launched on 28 February at 10.24 am. Its countdown started at 8.45 am on Saturday morning. Amazonia-1 has been successfully launched into its orbit.

PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) is the first dedicated commercial mission of C51 / Amazonia-1 ISRO’s commercial arm NewSpace India Limited (NSIL). Amazonia-1 will keep sending data for four years. A team of scientists from Brazil came to India to launch this satellite. ISRO Chairman K Sivan said that it is a matter of pride for both India and Brazil. He said that Amazonia-1 was created and developed entirely by Brazilian scientists.
