New Delhi : Punjab’s famous singer Sardool Sikander has passed away. He was 60 years old. He breathed his last at Fortis Hospital in Mohali in Punjab. Sardul Sikander was ill for a long time. He was found to have corona infection after a kidney transplant. He was undergoing treatment since then.

Last month, he was admitted to the hospital after suffering from kidney problems. During this time, his kidney was transplanted. The operation was successful, but in the meantime he also became corona infected. After this, he was undergoing treatment for Corona.

Sardool Sikander has given many Punjabi hit songs. His first album came in the 1980s. The name of this album was ‘Roadways Di Lari’. After this, he gave many hit albums and did not look back. His album ‘Husna de Malko’, which came in the year 1991, made a worldwide debut. This album’s 5.1 million copies were sold. Apart from songs, he also earned a name for his acting in many films. His performance in the Punjabi film ‘Jagga Daaku’ was highly praised.
