Jammu-Kashmir : Mata Vaishno Devi’s natural cave opened after a year for the devotees

Katra : The doors of Maa Vaishno Devi’s natural cave were opened to devotees on Wednesday after about a year. The devotees will be able to pass through the natural cave and get the darshan of Maa Vaishno Devi. The natural cave will remain open for a few days. This cave used to be opened every year in the winter season due to less number of devotees, but this time could not happen due to corona.

According to beliefs, this cave was opened every year on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. It was opened this year too but only for worship and not for the devotees due to the Corona epidemic. Devotees were not allowed to visit. After this, it was decided to open it after the number of devotees reached about six thousand on Wednesday. However, there is no official information about how long the cave will remain open.

Six thousand devotees arrived on Wednesday
Shrine Board CEO Ramesh Kumar said that by Wednesday evening, six thousand devotees had gone towards the Bhavan for the darshan of Maa Vaishno Devi. So far this year, 5.17 lakh devotees have visited the court of the Maa Vaishno Devi.
