Mumbai : Legendary actor Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor’s younger brother Rajiv Kapoor has passed away. 58-year-old Rajiv Kapoor has died due to heart attack. He had a sudden heart attack on Tuesday and the elder brother Randhir Kapoor rushed him to the hospital immediately, where doctors declared him dead. Randhir Kapoor confirmed the brother’s death, saying, ‘I have lost my younger brother. Rajiv has passed away. Doctors have tried everything on their part, but they could not save them. Randhir Kapoor said that at the moment he is in hospital and waiting for his body.

Rajiv Kapoor is known for his performance in the film ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’. Apart from this, he was also seen in the movie ‘Ek Jaan Hai Hum’. He directed the movie ‘Prem Granth’. In this film, his brother Rishi Kapoor was in the lead role. Apart from this, Rajiv Kapoor also acted in the 1984 film Aakash, Lover Boy, Jabardast and Hum To Chale Pardes. The last time he appeared in the film Zimmedar in 1990. After that, he started working as a producer and director.

In 1991, he directed the film Hina, the director of the film was his brother Randhir Kapoor. Apart from this, he started his career as a director in 1996 through the movie ‘Premagranth’. Although this film could not do much. The film featured Rishi Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles. He then directed the film ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’ in 1999. In 2001 he married architect Aarti Sabharwal.

Interestingly, Rajiv Kapoor looked exactly like his brother Rishi Kapoor. Rishi Kapoor’s wife Neetu Kapoor has paid tribute to him on Instagram. While sharing Rajiv Kapoor’s picture on Instagram, Neetu Kapoor wrote in the caption, ‘RIP’. Last year, Rishi Kapoor died during the corona lockdown and now the family has suffered another shock as Rajiv Kapoor’s death.
