Karachi : Pakistan has not yet purchased a single dose of Corona vaccine which protects against Coronavirus infection. Even after spreading his hand in front of China, he got the promise of just 5 lakh vaccines, the vaccination of which has been started after the first batch reached Pakistan.
However, in the meantime, Pakistan is afraid that these vaccines will be robbed by terrorists whom they are nurturing. Because of this, they have now been asked to keep vaccines at secret hideouts. Adequate arrangements are being made, including deployment of the army, surveillance from CCTV.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Wednesday released a guideline to protect Corona vaccines from theft and terrorist attacks. According to the NCOC, the China-made Corona vaccine SINOFARM is being given to health workers in Pakistan and in February 1,70,000 vaccines have been sent to all provinces across the country. From here they will be sent to the centers of all districts and cities.
The notification said that Interpol has issued an alert regarding fraud, theft and illegal advertisements. Plans have been made for the transportation, storage and administration of vaccines to prevent any untoward incident, such as a terrorist attack or to replace corona vaccines with fake vaccines. The guideline states that it is mandatory for police, rangers or the military to accompany the Corona vaccine carrying vehicles. Along with this, there will also be unknown security in the convoy.
The NCOC has said that routes of vehicles carrying Corona vaccines should also be kept confidential. At the same time vaccines will also be stopped at unknown locations, where there will be protection at many levels. CCTV, Quick Reaction Force, Police, Rangers and Army have been asked to deploy. Apart from this, all the provincial governments have been asked to form a security board.
Although there is a lot of attention being paid to the safety of Corona vaccines in every country, this fear is more in Pakistan. Because there is a huge shortage of corona vaccines here and on the other side there is a large army of terrorists and criminals, who can rob the vaccines to save their lives. If Pakistan has got 5 lakh vaccines from China, then it is expected to get 1.70 lakh vaccines in next six months through COVAX program, while Pakistan has a population of more than 22 crores and the Imran government has no money to buy vaccines.
