3 more Rafale fighter jets arrive in India from France on Wednesday night

New Delhi : On Wednesday night, three Rafale Fighter Jet landed in India (India) after flying non-stop from France. An Indian Air Force official said that the three fighter aircraft will join the current fleet of eight Rafale aircraft. An Indian Air Force official said, “After flying from France’s Istres Air Base, the third consignment of Rafale aircraft landed at an Indian Air Force base in the day.”

The Rafale fighter aircraft is manufactured by the French company Dassault Aviation. Earlier on Wednesday, the Indian Embassy in France had tweeted that three more Rafale jet planes to India have come from Istres taking non-stop flights with air refuelling.”

Indian Air Force now has 11 Rafale jets
The Indian Embassy said that our amazing pilots congratulated them for a clean flight and safe landing with superb fighters. The Indian Air Force will now have 11 Rafale jets in service along with three more aircraft. Apart from this, the pilots of the Indian Air Force are being trained in batches at Saint-Desire Air Base in France.

India received its first batch of five Rafale aircraft on 29 July 2020, which were inducted into 17 ‘Golden Arrow’ Squadron on 10 September at Ambala Air Base. The second batch of Rafale fighter jets reached India after flying non-stop from France on 4 November 2020. India had signed an intergovernmental agreement with France to purchase 36 Rafale jets at a cost of Rs 59,000 crore.
