Union minister Shripad Naik injured in car accident, wife died

New Delhi : Union Minister of State for AYUSH and Defense Shripad Naik and his wife succumbed to the accident on Monday. Shripad Naik is injured in a road accident while his wife Vijay Naik lost his life. Both were admitted to the government hospital after the accident. It is being told that a party worker has also died in this accident. Naik represents the BJP from the North Goa parliamentary seat.

However, after treatment, Shripad Naik’s condition is said to be stable. But his wife Vijaya Naik, seriously injured, succumbed in the hospital. It is being told that six people were inside Shripad Naik’s car. According to news agency ANI, Uttara Kannada SP Shivprakash Devaraju told that the personal assistant of Shripad Naik also died in the accident.

The accident took place in Ankola in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. During that time, Shripad Naik was going somewhere with his wife. It is being told that Shripad Naik’s wife Vijay Naik was unconscious after the accident for a long time. The doctors later declared her dead.

Shripad Naik has been shifted to GMC Hospital in Goa. Given the crowd in the hospital, Goa’s DGP has reviewed the security arrangements of the hospital. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called the Chief Minister of Goa and asked him to make proper arrangements for the treatment of Shripad Naik.
