Bombay HC extends protection to Kangana Ranaut, Stay on arrest and interrogation till 25 January
Mumbai : Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli have got a big relief from the Bombay High Court in the sedition case. The Bombay High Court stayed the police action and arrest against Kangana till 25 January.
The High Court has also told the Mumbai Police that by this date, there is no need to call Kangana and inquire again.
In this case, on January 8, Kangana reached Bandra Police Station and got her statement recorded.
Kangana expressed anger by sharing a video on Twitter before reaching the police station. She alleged that she is being tortured mentally, emotionally and physically.
The Maharashtra government had also raised objection to this video of Kangana. Advocate Rizwan Merchant said that this is a Contempt of Court, after this, he has also filed a Contempt of Court against Kangana in the court.
