Defamation case against Kangana Ranaut in Punjab, Actress asks why she is being tortured

Mumbai : A defamation case has been filed in the court against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who came under controversy for tweeting on the elderly woman farmer Mahinder Kaur. Kangana had tweeted about the elderly woman Mahinder Kaur and commented that such women join the protest if you pay them a small amount like 100 Rs. The farmers across the country opposed this. Apart from this, Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh also clashed with Kangana over this. Both had also said abusive words to each other.

Labh Singh, husband of 87-year-old Mahinder Kaur, said that Kangana has insulted his wife by making such remarks. They have received calls from relatives and they have been defamed. His relatives called him and said what was the need to take money and join the protest.”

Advocate Raghuveer Singh Bahniwal said that a case has been filed against Kangana in Bathinda’s JMIC on the complaint of Mahinder Kaur. The case will be heard on January 11. He said that this tweet of Kangana has hurt his society. The case has been transferred by the CJM to the court of Junior Magistrate Tanvi Sharma. Now its first hearing will be held on 11 January.
