Whereas the notification of all the Kumbh held earlier was usually released in January. But this time due to Corona, preparations of Maha Kumbh have been changed.

Preparations for Haridwar Mahakumbh have been going on for the last 1 year. The government is trying to make every arrangement in the preparations for Mahakumbh. This time due to the coronavirus pandemic, the government wants to complete the Mahakumbh within 48 days. So at the same time there is a continuing dispute between the government and the saints about the Kumbh. Recently, President of Ganga Sabha, Pradeep Jha had said the beginning of Kumbh will be on Makar Sankranti festival bath. Now General Secretary of Ganga Sabha Tanmay Vashishtha is also saying this, even though the Kumbh is of 48 days as per the government’s notification. But on the basis of faith, Makar Sankranti, Basant Panchami baths will be considered as Kumbh. Because, being the year of Kumbh, people have agreed that Kumbh has started. At the same time, he also said that the small event of Kumbh will have a big impact on the traders here.

At the same time, General Secretary of Akhara Parishad, Mr. Mahendra Hari Giri Maharaj considers Corona as the reason for Kumbh being small. He said that if even one person is killed due to Corona during Kumbh, the entire government and Kumbh Mela will be infamous.
