New Delhi : The mastermind of the Mumbai attack and Lashkar terrorists Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi has been arrested. Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi is accused of helping terrorists and providing them money. Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, along with Hafiz Saeed, hatched a conspiracy for the 26/11 attack.
Lakhvi, the operations commander of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, was named as a global terrorist by the United Nations under the UNSC resolution in 2008 after the Mumbai attacks. During the investigation of the Mumbai attack, it was revealed that it was Lakhvi who had prepared the full plan of the terrorist attack for Hafiz Saeed.
In this attack, 10 heavily armed militants of Pakistan’s terrorist organization Lashkar fired indiscriminately in the city. 166 people were killed in this attack, while more than 300 people were injured. Lashkar’s Operation Commander Lakhvi was released from Pakistan’s prison in April 2015 after nearly six years in custody.
