Corona cases with new strain on hike in India, Now total 20 cases registered
New Delhi : The new strain of Coronavirus which caused an outcry in the UK is now spreading all over the world. This new strain of coronavirus which has caused havoc in European countries including Britain has now come to India. In fact, six patients returning from Britain have been found infected with this strain of the coronavirus. Now the number of cases with new coronavirus strain has increased to 20.
As of Tuesday the number was only 6. A total of 107 samples have been reported so far, of which 20 have been infected with UK strains. The highest number of 8 positive cases out of 20 have been found in labs of NCDC Delhi. According to separate lab reports of the country on December 29, 14 cases were investigated in NCDC Delhi, out of which 8 new corona strains were found. At the same time, a new strain was found in one of the 7 at NIBG Kalyani (near Kolkata).
50 cases were investigated at NIV Pune, out of which one case was confirmed. A new strain was found in 7 of the 15 cases investigated at NIMHANS. Thus, in a total of 107 cases, a new strain of COVID-19 was found in 20 people.
