Ahmedabad : After the announcement of the 57-hour curfew, a huge crowd gathered in Ahmedabad’s Kalupur Market. A large number of people started panic buying. Due to the increasing cases of Corona, curfew has been declared in Ahmedabad from tonight till Monday morning. During this time only medical and milk shops will be open.
IAS officer of Gujarat, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, tweeted that the Corona situation was reviewed late at night and it was decided that the full curfew will be imposed in Ahmedabad city from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am Monday. During this period only shops selling milk and medicines will be allowed to remain open.
With this, the decision to start schools in Ahmedabad from 23rd has been withdrawn. After curfew and increase in corona cases in Ahmedabad, now the Gujarat government has postponed the decision to start schools all over Gujarat. The Education Department has withdrawn its decision.
During the night curfew in Ahmedabad, only shops of essential items will remain open. Apart from this, Vijay Rupani government has deployed 300 doctors, 300 medical students and 20 additional ambulances for Ahmedabad. Apart from Delhi, Corona cases are increasing very fast in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh.
