Mumbai : A video of Shiv Sena leader Nitin Nandgaonkar is becoming viral on social media. In this video, he is allegedly threatening the shop owner to change the name of ‘Karachi Sweets’ in Mumbai’s Bandra West to ‘Marathi Sweets’. In the video, Nitin Nandagavkar threatened the shop owner and said, ‘You have to do this, we are giving you time for this. ‘Karachi’ be changed to Marathi.’ Actually, Shiv Sena has waged a campaign to change the names of shops named Karachi. This threat is part of that.

The Congress has now jumped in the case of forcibly renaming the shop. Senior Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has attacked the Shiv Sena by tweeting. He says that just as Chinese hotels in India have nothing to do with China, similarly Bandara’s Karachi sweets have nothing to do with Pakistan.

The Congress leader said, “Chinese hotels in India have nothing to do with China, similarly Bandra’s Karachi sweets have nothing to do with Pakistan.” When will the stupid Shiv Sena workers understand this truth? The threat of renaming the 70-year-old shop is wrong.’ Sanjay Nirupam was the first Shiv Sena leader. However, he later joined the Congress.

Earlier on Thursday morning, Shiv Sena once again opened a front against Pakistan in Mumbai. Party leaders announced that they would not allow any kind of trade in the name of Karachi in Mumbai.

In this episode, Shiv Sena leader Nitin Nandagavkar threatened the owner of Karachi Sweets and said that he should remove Karachi in front of his name in due time. The party says that nothing called Karachi will be tolerated in Mumbai. This video of him threatening the shopkeeper has gone viral on social media.
