Bihar : RJD leader’s brother murdered amid voting in Purnia

Patna : Beni Singh, the brother of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Bittu Singh, was killed in the third phase of voting in Bihar. He was shot by miscreants in Sarsi under Purnia’s Dhamdaha Assembly. The criminals continuously fired bullets at Beni Singh. This incident took place on the day of polling. Preparations are on to send the body to Purnia for postmortem.

Voting is being held in 78 assembly seats in 15 districts of Bihar. A total of 1204 candidates from 78 assembly constituencies are trying their luck. Beni Singh was murdered by the miscreants amid the ongoing voting in the state.

Last month, a Janata Dal Nationalist candidate and one of his supporters were shot dead in Sheohar, Bihar. The incident was carried out while the candidates were out for the election campaign along with their supporters. At the same time, the supporters of the candidate caught a killer, who was beaten to death.
