Mumbai: Team India’s ‘hitman’ Rohit Sharma has been dropped from the upcoming India tour of Australia 2020. Rohit Sharma missed four matches in the IPL due to a knee injury. Therefore, some argued that Rohit’s injury should be serious. However, when Rohit took to the field to play the final match of the IPL (Mumbai vs Hyderabad) on Tuesday (November 3), it became clear that Rohit’s injury was not serious and he was completely healed.
Former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, ‘Colonel’ Dilip Vengsarkar and former opener Virender Sehwag have also questioned why Rohit was not given a place in the Indian team. In addition, Rohit has confirmed that he is fit in the match against Hyderabad. So is there any politics about Rohit in BCCI? This question is being asked by netizens. A Rohit fan has taken to Twitter to demand a CBI probe into Rohit’s injuries.
There should be a separate CBI enquiry on Rohit Sharma injury 😛 #BCCI #MIvsSRH #rohit #RohitSharma

@BCCI now how come @ImRo45 is playing? Either you should come out with a clarity regarding his fitness or omission (really)or you should discuss with @mipaltan regarding his match fitness if he is indeed injured since he is our main bat and future captain across all the 3 formats

Rohit Sharma was not selected in Team India squad for Australia tour, but today he is captaining and playing for #MI 🙄 Is there any issue with selection committee of #BCCI #Rohit #RohitSharma #MIvsSRH #Dream11Team #IPL2020

@BCCI @SGanguly99 @mipaltan who is culprit here to spoil career of Rohit Sharma…@bcci is playing in the hand of few people… If a player is fit enough to play for club in a BCCI tournament only but not fit enough to play for country after 20 days…what a irony.. politics pic.twitter.com/Beg3jdjqMj

“Rohit will definitely be on the Australia tour. The medical team is keeping an eye on both Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma. Ishant Sharma was not given a chance in the Australia tour. However, he can still play in the Test series. I also want to see Rohit play against Australia. If Rohit recovers from the injury, the selection committee will definitely think positively about Rohit,” Ganguly said.
