Pulwama : Terrorist Attack On CRPF Team In Pampore
Pulwama : There has been a terrorist attack on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) patrol party team in Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir. It is being told that 110 battalions of CRPF and personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police were busy on Road Opening Duty (ROP) on Kandhijal Bridge of Pampore, when unidentified militants started firing indiscriminately. Two soldiers were killed in this terrorist attack, while five were injured. The area has been cordoned off and a search operation is being conducted.
The attack took place on the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Tangan in Pampore. The army has sieged the area and has started a search operation.
A day ago, a joint team of army and police had recovered a stock of weapons in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. A joint team of police and army carried out an investigation operation in the district, in which they got a stock of arms. The recovered weapons included a large quantity of ammunition including an AK 47 rifle, three magazines of rifle and a pistol. Security forces received specific information about the terrorist’s hideout, based on which a search operation was carried out in the area.
